focus
Focus is where the key part of an image is, it is usually the centre of focus. In photography, cameras see things differently to the eye; they can put different parts of the image into focus- for example the depth of field of an image can change the main focus of the image. This means within a second, a clear image on a screen can be made out of focus by changing a few camera settings.
ralph eugene meatyard
Ralph Eugene Meatyards images seem quite weird to me, personally I do not like them. I do not like how the image on the left has the man jumping out of the window and how he is out of focus. I also find the second image weird as well as the man doesn't look like he is real. Both of the images seem to be quite dark and depressing to me.

saul leiter
The image to the right by Saul Leiter is quite interesting, I think she looks like a super model posing for the image behind a window. I think this image looks like it is from the 1950s and I quite like it as I like the reflection over her face as it makes you wonder more about what she is looking at which is behind the camera. The colours are also quite interesting as there seems to be a lot of a reddy orange colour in both images to the right.

edited images
I don't really like these edited images above, I am not sure if it is because I am not a fan of the out of focus photographs anyway or just because editing these unfocused images is just too much and makes you wonder too much about what the image actually is of. I think I prefer the images before I edited them as you can tell what all of the images are of. Some of the images that I took were definitely way too blurry and overexposed.
